Ladies man!
It is almost as though Leonardo has set himself a date on the annual social calendar – as regular as clockwork, just like the Oscars or Wimbledon – to be seen on board a yacht surrounded by beautiful bikini-clad ladies…
This year in Cannes, Leo has been spotted aboard the 64m (210ft) luxury superyacht Lionheart – the beautiful boat owned by Topshop mogul and billionaire Sir Philip Green.
The yacht was custom built in 2006 by Italian shipbuilders Benetti and can sleep up to 12 people – so more than enough room for Leo and his lady friends…
While the Oscar-nominated actor has been in town for the international Cannes Film Festival, he has made it his mission to not be all work and no play… His latest film is the big screen version of F Scott Fitzgerald’s famous book, The Great Gatsby, directed by the flamboyant Australian director, Baz Luhrmann, who worked with Leo a while back on Romeo and Juliet with Clare Danes.
The original version of the film starred a very dashing Robert Redford in the role of Jay Gatsby which Leonardo undertook this time round, opposite Mia Farrow as Daisy Buchanan, this time played by the British actress Carey Mulligan.
But now with the premiere of The Great Gatsby already been and gone, it is time for the rest and relaxation to commence and what better way to do so than for Leo to forget the paparazzi and the endless questions about the film and instead sun himself next to numerous ladies, whose sole priority for the day was to decide which pair of hotpants to wear in front of the star…
Although none of the ladies appear to be well known supermodels which is what Leo is definitely accustomed to, they clearly were good enough for him to surround himself with.
Not bad having a billionaire mate with a yacht you can just pop round and borrow, complete with crew to serve your every need! You just need to get the guest list in order but if you are Leonardo DiCaprio, it clearly won’t be a problem…
